'Jaws of Life' Project
The LHHCSF is dedicated to the improvement of our Public Safety. One of the best ways to do this is by supporting the needs of our volunteer Fire Department. The "Jaws of Life" equipment that our volunteer Fire Department used in the past was outdated and inadequate when used on newer reinforced vehicles. One of the initial projects of the foundation was to help raise funds for a new life-saving "Jaws of Life" apparatus. LHHCSF raised over $28,000 through the genorousity of our City residents and our LA County Supervisor Don Kanabe for the purchase of this state-of-the-art life-saving equipment. This equipment has already been used in multiple accidents and has help save the lives of many people. The Foundation is a non-profit 501(c)(3) organization and all contributions are tax deductible. All Foundation team members are volunteers and all donations go directly toward funding projects like this one..
